Daddy walked Christin down the aisle and Aaron joined our family! It was a beautiful ceremony and we received many compliments! Soon I will get pictures up for all the past posts. Marty and I are so very thankful for all our friends and family who helped with Christin and Aaron's wedding!

The big day is almost upon us....
Well we have survived so far!
Friday, March 6th - Christin, Rebecca, and I went to get out nails done before the rehearsal. We arrived at Mead Gardens around 3:30 PM. My friend, Donna, is doing the photography. She met us there early to pick out some great photo spots. Marty's cousin's husband is the preacher for the wedding and they were already there. We sat and visited with everyone as they trickled in. We went through the ceremony one time and then it was dark! So we headed to the church for the dinner. I think almost everyone got lost! I was giving so many people directions that I got lost!!! Everyone finally made it! We enjoyed a dinner catered in by Sonny's BBQ!!! It was yummy!
Saturday, March 7th - COOKING DAY! We all - Paula, Shaina, Christin, Aaron, Rebecca, Marty, me, Kenny, Florence, Meghan, and Josh all met at our friends, Cindy and Tom's house to cook and prepare everything. We washed and cut fruit, made tons of pinwheels, stuffed more than 300 cherry tomatoes, made 13 dozen deviled eggs, made 10 lbs of cole slaw, and fruit salad. We worked from 10 am until about 2:30 or so. Later on we loaded the van with everything that would fit!
Tomorrow, which is already here, is Christin and Aaron's wedding day! We still need to go get a friend's van to get the rest of everything. Christin, Rebecca, and I have hair appointments at 11 AM and then we will head to the wedding garden. I am feeling a whole bunch of emotions. We will have a great day and a wonderful wedding!!! I'm headed to bed; it's 1:13 AM!

SIX more days!
The wedding day is drawing near. The food is mostly bought. The rest we will get tomorrow. I need 2 more things from Joann's. Most everything is all lined up and ready to go. My living room is piled with boxes just waiting to be loaded into the van.
This past weekend Christin, Rebecca, and I went away for a girls time. We stayed at a lovely hotel on Cocoa Beach! We relaxed, ate junk food, slept in, and did one wedding task.
Tonight I am list making and everything we do this week will be on a list! We will be pretty busy, but organized! Christin works Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday then she will come home to help prepare. Marty will be off from his nine days of working on Thursday. By then I will be very happy to have some help!

Well.... today we discovered that the wrong address was on the invitations. So I made a lot of calls. Most everyone is now aware of the correct address.
Most of the food is bought and the rest is planned out.
The final wedding dress fitting has taken place.
The seating arrangement is completed.
My outfit is complete.
I'm tired, but I think it will be a couple more weeks until I can sit still.
On Sunday there will be 2 more weeks until the wedding!

Bows on coursages
Today I gave the coursages that Christin and Shaina made to a friend of mine to put bows on them. one more step toward the wedding! Also, I talked with Lora, a friend of Christin's, who will be handling the sound and DJ duties. We will be making a trip down to Mead Gardens to see what equipment they have and what we need to find.
Oh, Christin will nto be having her wisdom teeth taken out before the wedding. It was just too risky and not enough time.

Bridal Shower and Wedding Favors!
Yesterday (February 7th) was Christin's Briday Shower. Meghan, Rebecca, and Shaina did an absolutely wonderful job putting together the food, decorations, and games! We had a great time with lots of friends and family. My neice was able to come to the party while my brother went to my house. One of the young guests was at her first bridal shower and made the cutest comment to her mother about giving Christin a bath! Her mother explained to her that we were all showering her with gifts and love. Christin received some great marriage advice and we all were able to laugh about memories about her growing up years.
Tonight Christin, Aaron, Rebecca, Josh and I put together the wedding favors.
We had everything but the honey sticks. It was an adventure getting the honey sticks, tho! We were to go down to Lake Eola to pick them up, but the honey lady had forgotten them at home. It was a wasted trip downtown, but we discovered a great Farmer's Market there so we will be going back on day. We picked up pizza on the way home and met Aaron here at the house. Then we made arrangements to meet the honey man halfway between our houses. After we ate Christin and I jumped back in the car and headed to the meeting place. The honey man was late due to one of his beehives swarming?!?! I know nothing about bees and honey, but it sounded serious! We finally had the honey sticks in our possession! Back to the house we came and as soon as Rebecca and Josh arrived we started making the favors. We each had a particular job and worked as an assembly line. We stuffed little green personalized bags with all the items the wedding guests will need to make a cup of hot tea. Hopefully they will enjoy their tea while relaxing at home and remembering the wedding.
28 days until the wedding!

Rain, plates, and lemondrops! Oh my!
Today we had a great day! Christin and I went to the dentist because she needs to get her wisdom teeth out BEFORE the wedding! Wisdom teeth surgery is February 19th. The wedding is March 8th. Then we went to get the coffee cups, regular cups, plates, cake plates, and forks. We ran between the raindrops and underneath the awnings of the stores going from one store to another. We laughed and Christin said it was like a real life Mario game! Every once in a while we had to go out around a garbage can or sign. Our final stop was Cracker Barrel where we bought lemon drops! When we got home and Christin, one of her bridesmaids, and Rebecca put the lemondrops in little bags for the favors.

When given lemons, make LEMONADE!!!!
We were given LOTS of lemons, so tonight Marty juiced them. He says there were about 40 lemons. There were so many that the juicer overheated before he could finish. We will be having fresh lemonade at Christin's wedding. YUMMY!

Candy, candy, and more candy!!!!
Thursday, January 22nd, Christin came home to go with Daddy to the uniform store for her EMT pants. Her partner sent his list too. After Marty went to work, we played wedding dress up. Christin tried on her dress and it fits perfectly, but we can't seem to find the bustle part. Rebecca tried on her dress and we need some length adjustments. They both looked good in their dresses. I think I saw my 4 and 8 year old little girls playing dress up..... I have great pictures, but don't know how to get them on here. Plus I don't want to put them up before the wedding.
Last night (January 25th) Christin and Aaron came over to work more on the wedding preparations. Marty was going to a men's function at a local church and he took Aaron with him. Christin and I wrapped 400 miniature chocolate bars! Then we put the 1,008 Hershey's kisses and the 400 miniatures into baggies so it would be easier to put out at the wedding. When the guys got home Aaron and Rebecca worked on decorating the cake serving set.
We were going to make the favors, but who would of thought there were no seeds available at Home Depot until mid-March??!! I'm off to search the internet for seeds.

Wedding Planning
Saturday, January 17th
We were camping at Moss Park so Christin came home for steak night and wedding planning! They already had the invitations addressed, so Christin and I went in search of the perfect stamp. We found it, too! It's a vine in the shape of a heart and the perfect color green to match the invites. So back to the campground we go to put stamps and return address labels on the envelopes. After we were done with that we discussed food, serving platters, and who was able to help.
Earlier in the week Marty worked out the placement of the tables in the reception hall.

More wedding prep
Tonight Christin and Aaron stopped by for dinner on their way back to Lakeland. They were coming back from their first premarital counseling appointment. After dinner Aaron and Rebecca decorated the bride and groom toasting glasses while Christin and I decided on the last few items we still needed. I think we finally have the favors decided on! After they left Marty and I practiced our dancing in the driveway!
Tomorrow Marty, Rebecca and I will go to the reception building to check for electrical outlets and try different table set ups.
Countdown to the wedding: 8 weeks
